Halo Top boosts vegan ice cream offering with seven new flavours

Available in the US from early February, the pints are made with coconut milk and include two new Halo Top flavours: toasted coconut and vanilla maple. The other variants are: pancakes and waffles, birthday cake, candy bar, chocolate almond crunch, and chocolate chip cookie dough. Each of the non-dairy pints have between 280 and 360 calories and between 16 and 28 grams of sugar. Halo Top said it is responding to a “significant increase in demand” for dairy alternatives in recent years. Last year, the brand introduced a range of low-calorie vegan ice creams. Justin Woolverton, Halo Top CEO, said: “When we launched our original line of non-dairy flavours, we knew we wanted to expand to include even more indulgent options. “We know our fans look to us for variety and creativity in our flavours, and we want to make sure we always address those requests for our dairy-averse and vegan fans as well.” The newest non-dairy flavors will join Halo Top’s collection of 31 ice cream pints, including classics like vanilla bean and chocolate. Los Angeles-based Halo Top Creamery was founded in 2011 by former lawyer turned ice cream aficionado Justin Woolverton while he was on a quest to find an ice cream he could enjoy without the guilt.
