Yili to upgrade its European research and development centre
2018-09-26 From: FoodBev Chinese dairy company Yili has announced that it will upgrade its European research and development centre located on the Wageningen University campus in the Netherlands. Yili inaugurated the Innovation Center Europe in 2014, and Yili says that the upgrade will help the company keep up with with the latest global trends in the dairy industry, in order to develop suitable products for its Chinese consumer base. Yili group executive president Zhang Jianqiu said that the upgrade will allow Yili to “deepen its cooperation with Wageningen University through further talent exchanges, resource sharing and continued collaboration on future projects.” The company did not disclose the figure it would be investing to upgrade the facility. A statement from the company said: “Yili Innovation Center Europe serves as testament to Yili’s efforts in establishing partnerships worldwide, setting and enhancing world-class standards and working towards the development of a fully globalised international dairy industry via innovation. “Yili aims to collaborate with partners, enhance efforts at innovation and speed up the expansion roadmap beyond the home market to enable everyone, everywhere on this planet, to live a healthier life.”
