Tabasco unveils new format for ‘food on the go’ sector
2012-07-17 --PackagingNews Tabasco Pepper Sauce is targeting the ‘food on the go’ market with the launch of a sachet format
The packets contains two mini bottles bottles of Tabasco and will be displayed in stores on a clip strip positioned closed to complementary products, such as sandwiches, salads and ready meals. Louise Keohane, UK Brand Manager at Tabasco Pepper Sauce, said: “Many consumers do not buy Tabasco simply because they don’t know how to use it and they are fearful that if they buy a whole bottle it could be wasted. “We believe that by positioning Tabasco in store next to complementary products that we will educate consumers on how to use Tabasco Sauce to add flavour to their meals. Tabasco clip strips will drive impulse purchases and drive incremental sales for the category.”
