African food producer launches ‘first of their kind’ nut butters
2015-12-22

From:FoodBev

African-inspired food producer Bim’s Kitchen has launched two new organic nut butters – both described as “firsts of their kind” in the UK market.

The Soil Association-certified African baobab and peanut butter, as well as African tiger nut, coconut and cash butter, are both suitable for vegans and vegetarians and are gluten-free.

The African baobab and peanut butter combines the African superfruit baobab, raw agave syrup, full roasted peanuts and sea salt to create a delicious spread which can also be used as a cooking ingredient. The second butter blends roasted cashew nuts with tigernuts, coconut and sea salt to create an equally tasty and versatile spread.

Bim’s Kitchen co-owner James ‘Bim’ Adedeji said: “I first came across baobab and tiger nuts as a youngster in Nigeria and our customers have been thoroughly enjoying the products we make with them and other delicious African ingredients in our range. Through these two new products, we hope to continue sharing some of the unique flavours and ingredients from Africa to an expanding customer base.”
