Coveris launches aluminium-free wet food pouch

Coveris Flexibles France has launched a new aluminium-free packaging solution, designed with the wet food market for pets in mind.

The company said the technological innovation underlines its ccommitment to always offer its clients solutions which are ever more effective, innovative and environmentally friendly.

The aluminium-free pouch (or Alu Free Pouch) is designed for the packaging of food for animals and is said to offer numerous technical advantages, including:

– Superior barrier properties, perfect airtightness
– Capacity ranging from 100g to 1kg
– Optimal puncture resistance to preserve the organoleptic qualities of the
food
– Customisation of the pouch according to the desired visual effects (glossy,
matt, transparent etc.)
– Diverse options for easy opening
– Rotoprinting to optimise product communication
