Urge Harris to support horse slaughter ban

Soon the House Appropriations Committee will determine the future of horses in the United States. The FY2020 Agriculture Appropriations bill includes an amendment to ban U.S. horse slaughter plants. We must ensure that our representative, Andy Harris, supports the inclusion of this amendment. The reemergence of horse slaughter would be a stain on our country’s history of protecting its horse populations. Americans have long revered horses, and we must continue to protect them from cruelty.

Horse slaughter is inhumane, and no amount of regulation can make it otherwise.

Please call Representative Harris's office at 202-225-5311 and urge him to maintain the horse slaughter ban provision in the FY2020 Agriculture Appropriations bill.
