Over 20 Bakers to Bakery Business
2010-02-10 Over 20 international bakers to take part in the fourth Bakery Business
With the show just a few days away, Food & Beverage News spoke to the organisers of “Bakery Business 2009” for an update on the show. The three-day dedicated Bakery Business show will take place on November 11-13, 2009, at World Trade Centre, Cuffe Parade, Mumbai.
Pradeep Gopalan, director, Hospitality First, says “We are extremely pleased with the overwhelming response we have received to the show in Mumbai. We have today over 200 pre-registered visitors exclusively from the bakery and confectionery industry travelling, from across the country and over 20 international bakers from rich bakery culinary tradition nations – South Africa, Singapore, New Zealand and the US.” Today, the bakery industry is an important segment within the Indian food and beverage industry. The major product markets within this industry include bread, cakes & pastries and biscuits. Manufacturer penetration is high within the bakery industry and that is the reason for the ongoing consolidation. According to the organisers and pre-registered participants, the 4th Bakery Business is emerging as a positive industry platform and will showcase the finest in bakery technology, refrigeration and ingredients from across the country. For the first time, the show encompasses exclusive manufacturers of environmental friendly packaging materials and IT companies offering tailor-made solutions for the Indian bakery and biscuits industry. “We confirm that the show will appeal to everyone – right from a small baker to a big bread plant owner. Some of the industry leaders exhibiting are – AB Mauri, CS Aerotherm, Arun Engg, Desmon Continental, Euro Foods, Celsius Refrigeration, Barry Callebaut and Fantasie Fine Chocolates,” Gopalan informed.
