Barry Callebaut Beverages UK has launched its Caprimo cappuccino sachets to the horeca and vending markets in a bid to provide a more flexible offering and to give the consumer a chance to sample some new flavours on the go.

The range is particularly geared towards the 18-30 market, which contains the largest consumers of frappés and flavoured hot drinks of any demographic.

The single-portion, easy-to-use sachets were first launched in Europe in September, positioned to reinforce the cappuccino trend and provide an attractive option for vending operators.

Currently available in three of the hot drinks manufacturer’s most popular flavours – noisette, Irish and vanille – the sachets are also an ideal solution for those who want to offer customers a greater assortment of drinks to choose from in locations such as offices, small businesses and hotels, Barry Callebaut said, without the limitations presented by the number of canisters in any one vending machine.

Head of sales for Barry Callebaut Beverages UK, Paula Bentley, said: “To offer one of these delicious drinks to the customer, all you really need is a kettle. It’s as simple as that. It’s easy for the seller and it also allows the consumer the opportunity to take one home if they want to try a different flavour or have, indeed, settled on a favourite. The sachets are ideal for either home or out-of-home consumption and we expect the possibilities they present, as a mixed use product, to make them a real winner.”

Mirroring the flexibility of the other products in the Caprimo range, the irresistable sachets can be enjoyed as a dessert, frappé, slush or gelato as well as a hot beverage, Barry Callebaut continued.

The Caprimo range is designed to follow the newest consumer trends and taste sensations to present a unique experience from delightful “remakes” of classics to exciting and unexpected novelties.
