On October 12 and October 13, 2011, the James Beard Foundation will livestream its second annual food conference, Sustainability on the Table: How Money and Media Influence the Way America Eats, co-hosted by Good Housekeeping. The conference boasts a wide variety of food professionals, ranging from chef Marcus Samuelsson to sustainable fish guru Paul Greenberg, and the dialogue should certainly be worth throwing on your headphones and listening at your work computer. On Wednesday evening, there will be an awards reception honoring 10 food sustainability pioneers. Honorees include Michelle Obama and Alice Waters.
