At HKTDC FOOD EXPO, Korea Pavilion Drew Global Buyers’ Attention
2016-09-23 From: Asia Food Journal Korean Food exhibition at HKTDC FOOD EXPO ended in great success after impressing a lot of visitors with excellent Korean products and colorful events at Korean Pavilion.
The participation of 21,000 buyers of 27th HKTDC FOOD EXPO showed that it is one of the biggest food expositions in Hong Kong. Furthermore, the visitor register only for Trade Hall said that there were 26 countries and 1,400 companies for three days. Many attractive and colorful events were held at Korea pavilion. “Joanne Poon’s Star Chef’s Special Recipe” introduced special recipes with eggs and Korean beef. The visitors were enjoying various Korean dishes from Stir-fried Rice Cake, Gimbap, Kimchi Pancake to Citrus ice tea, and ginseng at K-FOOD Cooking Demonstration and the other Korean food events. In particular, the photo zone was very popular because they could take a picture with a model in a costume of the leading character of famous latest Korean Drama. aT Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp organized an integrated Korean pavilion in cooperation with Jeonbuk Institute for Food-Bioindustry, provincial governments of Gyongsangbuk-do, Chungcheongnam-do, Chungcheongbuk-do, and Chungnam Techno Park in order to allow people to experience diverse Korean products in one place. It focused on promoting Kimchi, health foods, tea, snack, sauces and livestock products and attracted a lot of overseas buyers. The representative of aT Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corp said that they aim to promote the export of Korean food products not only in Hong Kong, Macao but in Chaoan, also they plan to participate in Asia Fruit Logistica, taking place in Hong Kong in September, in order to carry on promoting the export.
