2010-02-10
The production and harvesting of fruit and berries for juice and processing, and the respective storage technology, will be the focus of an international congress within the framework of the world's leading trade fair Intervitis Interfructa from March 24 to 27, 2010, at Stuttgart, Germany. The Congress is organised by the German Winegrowers Association in cooperation with the State Association for Commercial Fruit Cultivation of Baden-Wurttemberg, the Specialist Group for Fruit Cultivation in conjunction with the State Teaching and Testing Institute for Viticulture and Fruit Cultivation in Weinsberg and the Lake Constance Centre for Fruit Cultivation.
Intervitis Interfructa offers the complete range of products and services both for wine-growing and for the production of fruit, fruit juice and spirits. This world-leading trade fair, which takes place once in three years, is always accompanied by an absolutely top-quality congress programme. At IVIF 2007 around 1,400 experts from all continents took part. "Quality, sustainability, market: the impetus for innovations" - this time the motto of the fruit cultivation section of the International IVIF Congress. Speakers from science and industry are now being sought via the "call for papers" for topics such as the processing of berries, pip fruit, stone fruit or table grapes, cultivation processes and methods, harvesting technology, cleaning and preparation, preparation of dry fruit, jams and fruit ingredients, ecological cultivation, marketing, transportation and modern storage technology. Scientists and experts involved in the stated topics are requested to submit their suggestions online at www.dwv-online.de/kongress by not later than July 15, 2009. This website also provides further information on the International IVIF 2010.
